CHECK OUT SOME BEAUTIFUL FOOTAGE OF A STEVE MASON ACOUSTIC SHOW

Today we have something quite special for you to end your working week on with some beautiful footage of a Steve Mason acoustic show which can now be viewed here.

Filmed in Spring of this year at The Slaughtered Lamb, London, by the acclaimed directors Thirty Two who are known for making fantastic videos for Franz Ferdinand, The Arctic Monkeys, and Elbow, and the Blur documentary "No Distance Left To Run", the footage will be shown on 18th November at a special Domino Records Showcase night at the Leeds International Film Festival, where you’ll also be able to catch films on Franz Ferdinand and Robert Wyatt.

In addition, we've made two acoustic recordings from the show available for free download on the site. This footage, which includes tracks from Steve’s recent critically acclaimed solo album Boys Outside, a couple of Beta Band tracks, and even a cover of Madonna’s s Borderline, precedes the release of Steve Mason’s new single, Boys Outside which is coming out through Double Six on 15th November 2010. The song which Mason produced with chart pop trickster Richard X will be accompanied by two special remixes from Andrew Weatherall as b-sides.

Following on from a summer of acclaimed festival appearances including slots at both Glastonbury and Field Day, Steve is heading out on a UK headline tour in late October, where he will be performing with a full band. Dates below.
